About

Faith Baptist School

Who are we?  Why do we exist?  How long have we been here?  What sets us apart?

Founded in 1978, Faith Baptist School is a private non-profit, college preparatory Christian school that offers high academics and spiritual standards to families in the Flint and Davison area. This unique school has increased enrollment regularly because parents are satisfied with the results of the learning program their children receive. The purpose of the school is to build character and teach biblical values, along with giving a solid academic foundation in the basic fundamentals of learning for the average and the above average child. The teachers are of the highest caliber and are educationally prepared to give each student a thorough scholastic background. There is a distinct emphasis on patriotism and character training.

Mission statement

Faith Baptist School exists to develop a quality academic foundation, reinforce Christlike character, teach biblical values, and promote excellence in fine arts to equip our young people to serve Christ.

Home, Church, and School

We believe the home is the most important aspect of the family.  Parents are to bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and students are to honor their parents (Ephesians 6).  Our church and Christian school partners with the home in the mutual goal of leading children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and discipling them in Christian values.

IN LOCO PARENTIS

"In loco parentis" is a Latin term meaning in place of the parent.  Faith Baptist School is an extension of the home and the church.  We are here to nurture, discipline, educate, train, and encourage young people.  However, we are not a substitute for the home or church. We are a tool of discipleship to assist the parent and the local church.
